Terms for your videos

When you reply #YesCop to our request, or connect your Instagram to Cop (in Seller Central as a seller, or as a Cop creator), you agree to these terms for that content.

What you allow

  • Cop may show your video or post on cop.boutique (the video feed, product pages and creator pages) and in Cop’s own social media and marketing.
  • Cop may copy it to its own servers to play it, resize or crop it, add product links, captions and translations, and show it next to products for sale.
  • The permission is non-exclusive, free of charge and worldwide. You keep ownership of your content and can keep using it however you like.
  • Connected accounts: if you connect your Instagram account (as a seller or a Cop creator), you authorise Cop, for as long as it stays connected, to copy the videos from that account, store them on Cop’s servers and show them on Cop (in the Fil, on product pages and on your shop). After you disconnect, Cop removes them from Cop within 30 days.

Credit

  • Cop credits you with your Instagram username wherever your video is shown. For a #YesCop post, the credit links to your Instagram account.
  • A connected seller’s videos show “@your-handle · Shop the store ›”, linking to your shop on Cop; a Cop creator’s show “@your-handle · Shop the look ›” and a “Cop partner” label, because Cop pays creators a commission.
  • Products shown with your video are Cop’s or its sellers’. Unless you’re a Cop creator or seller, showing them doesn’t mean you endorse them.

What you confirm

  • You made the content or have the right to give this permission, including for the music, images and anything else in it.
  • Every person who can be recognized in it agreed to appear in it and to it being shown this way (in Quebec, a person’s image is protected by the Civil Code, articles 35 and 36).
  • It doesn’t break Instagram’s terms or anyone’s rights.

Changing your mind

  • You can ask us to stop showing your content at any time: contact us, or hide the video (or disconnect your Instagram) in Seller Central or your creator space. A hidden video or a disconnected account’s videos leave cop.boutique right away, and their copies are deleted from Cop’s storage within 30 days. For a #YesCop post, we stop showing it within 7 days of your request.
  • Posts Cop features without your permission are played from the file Instagram provides through its official API: Cop never copies or re-hosts them, your post stays on Instagram, and it is always shown under your name with a link to it. Ask us and we’ll take it down.

Payment

  • There’s no payment for this permission. Cop creators earn commissions under the Cop Creator Terms (cop.boutique/creator-terms); sellers sell their own listings.
